Don Manifold: Advisor in Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestments
Don Manifold is a business leader with more than 20 years of senior management experience establishing, executing, and integrating acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate strategies to create shareholder value. He has been responsible for the successful integration of more than $2 billion in acquisitions, divested assets, and other transactions. His experience includes advising on more than 150 transactions with a total consideration exceeding $10 billion.
Manifold is a Joint Owner and Managing Director of Equity & Advisory, an Adelaide-based advisory firm specializing in corporate strategy and M&A advisory.
In addition to his professional advisory work, Don Manifold serves on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations. He was formerly an independent director of Challenge Corporation Limited.
Don is a speaker and writer on corporate strategy and M&A topics. He is a regular guest lecturer on M&A themes for the Business School at the University of South Australia. He has delivered numerous presentations on corporate strategy, including keynote speeches at conferences throughout Australia, Europe, and North America.
Born in Adelaide, Australia, Don Manifold has lived and worked in Australia, the United States, and Japan. He has a Master of Business Administration (Executive), Australian Graduate School of Management, Adelaide. He also holds a Bachelor of Economics, where he graduated with honors.
Don is a contributor to Australia’s leading business publication, “The Monthly” (print edition), and has written over 75 articles in its “Strategy Report” magazine. He has been quoted in Australia’s leading business publication, “The Australian Financial Review.” He is a columnist for The Business Insider Website and regularly guest blogged for the Wall Street Journal Online while researching North American M&A contenders AIG, Citigroup, and Merrill Lynch.
Don is a Founding Member and Director of the South Australian Satellite Technology Applications Cooperative (SATAC). He is also a former Director of Action for Children Incorporated.
In 2008, Don Manifold was named by The Advertiser newspaper as one of 21 key South Australians in the 21st century. His biography appeared as part of The Advertiser’s special feature on South Australia’s influential citizens.
