We invite Irish permaculturalists to a special event, an open day in Dunmanway,  Cork on Saturday 1 October, 2011, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet with a Berber woman from the area where we are starting the project. We’ll also have a presentation about the plans for a permaculture centre and valley restoration, as well as the wider vision for the future of North Africa, and the second PDC course we’ll be holding on site in February.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear more about how we’re going to reforest this valley, and to meet local Moroccans who are involved.

We’ll have a traditional Berber (veggie!) dinner with some Moroccan music, on the Friday evening, and on Saturday a presentation outlining the whole project, followed by discussion.. It’s informal and there will be plenty of time.  Accommodation is available for Friday and/or Saturday night, to save travel for those who prefer. This is an Irish initiative, and it’s important to get interested people in Ireland on board early, so there is no charge for this event.
